BEACH HOUSE - Master of None

Was finally forced to listen to Beach House, via film, The Future. I rather liked it. On both counts.

JOHN GRANT - Marz (feat. Midlake)

Just found out about this corker from an even more SPECTACULAR film. Weekend (2011, Haigh) do yourself a favour, and see it. Breathtaking, heartbreaking, just spot on. Heart and humour. Made me think lots about having left Scotland. Sigh.

A.A. BONDY - Slow Parade (HearYa session)

Lovely version. Anybody fancy coming along to see this fella in London, sometime decembertime?

Jumping on that band wagon, but having only heard the soundtrack whilst ushering over the festival until last night, it is indeed awesome and adds even more to the 80s throwback feel… Yup, I’m jabbering about ‘Drive’. The director is probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, kind of surprised by how brutal the short bursts of violence is in it considering. Listen anyway, if you’re digging the Summer Camp vibes at the minute, definitely give this a go.

COLLEGE - A Real Hero (Ft. Electric Youth)

TELLISON - Edith

Premiered at the Cambridge Film Festival, featuring and made by a lot of peoples I work with, they did an awesome job, haha, have a looksee!

WYE OAK - Strangers (The Kinks cover)

My favourite Kinks track, really nice reworking.

R.B. GREAVES - Take A Letter Maria

Thanks Will, great song. Sam Cooke’s cousin or nephew or summin.

WYE OAK - Civilian

Just found out Wye Oak are supporting the National when they hit Glasgae. Chuffed to say the least.
